Our information categories

• Official — Notified or published directly by the Government of India / a Pay Commission.
• Proposed — Recommendations or demands from recognized employee organizations or unions.
• Reported — Covered by media or other sources but not officially confirmed.
• Estimate — Our own calculator assumptions or scenario-based figures.
• Not Yet Announced — No official decision has been published yet.

Official information takes precedence

Whenever the Government of India or the 8th CPC officially notifies a figure — a fitment factor, pay matrix, or implementation date — this site will update the relevant page and re-label it Official, superseding any estimate, proposal, or report shown previously.
